The South Coast has been washed clean with lovely rains, and everything is blooming! The days are warm and lovely, and the evenings are pleasant. Early morning is the ideal time to be on the beach before the wind starts blowing, and the south coast is alive with activities during the rest of the day

We were very surprised to see whales cavorting in the sea right up to the last week of November. Normally, they have disappeared by the end of October! We always have the playful dolphins though, and the best time to appreciate them surfing through the waves is in the early mornings or in the evenings.

The fishing has picked up again, and some good catches have been made. With the shad season re-opened, we fully expect to see more surf fishermen on our beaches in all kinds of crazy weather!

Holidaymakers will soon be flocking to the south coast, in search of the sun and sea. Whatever the weather, you can be assured on a good holiday with endless activities to keep everyone happy. Most tourist attractions, as well as the Hibiscus Coast Tourism offices, have a stock of the free Southern Explorer, which is a glossy book featuring details route maps and all places of interest - whatever your interest may be! The local papers also carry details of up to date holiday programmes so no-one need miss out on all the fun.

The south coast has golf courses that are world renowned, and our bowling greens are amongst the finest. We can even provide a quiet spot on a beach where you can idle your holiday hours away.

Neptune's Corner self-catering cottages are ready and waiting to welcome you to a stress-free, relaxing holiday or getaway weekend. We are situated on a hillside in Pumula - well placed with superb sea views - the best viewpoint being the pool area. Most of the cottages also have good views of the sea, and Pumula beach is an approximate 10-minute walk away. This beach is a treasure trove for sun-bathing, rock-climbing, shell collecting… and a haven for fishermen. Good news is that 'our' beach has been awarded 'Blue Flag Pilot Status' for the pure quality of its seawater!
